Second Reading: Philippians 3:20-4:1

 

Christ will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body.

 

Brothers and sisters: Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we also await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body by the power that enables him also to bring all things into subjection to himself.

 

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, beloved.

 

 

 

Questions for Reflection

 

1.      If the gospel is true and heaven is our destiny, why are we often not taking seriously about Christ and the Christian life?

 

2.      How can we live more often with the wonder of heaven in mind?

 

3.      What is the connection between seeking God’s kingdom and the Father giving us the kingdom?
